Broadcasting live from D.C.

Greetings from DC and Baltimore...We ate a bunch of junk yesterday on the plane, then headed to the fabulous Hay-Adams hotel across from the White House. We dined in the Lafayette room at the hotel where I devoured a bowl of asparagus soup (Kev and I both agreed that my recipe was better), then a plate of lamb with haricot vert and a potato terrine thing. My wine was awesome, I started with a glass of Tavel Rose (a french favorite) and then a Seghesio Zinfandel. Got to go mingle with family, au revoir!
