Kent (minus Michelle) came over last night for din din, so we served up some Merguez sausages in toasted baguette buns. Merguez are a North African sausage made of lamb and spices. We discovered them in France and sadly, it's difficult to find them in America so it is a treat when we eat them. To our delight though, they sell them at the 24th Street Cheese Shop, right around the corner from our house. Now isn't that convenient!!!!!!!! Kevin grilled them, along with some asparagus (yum yum) and I made some corn puddin' (with no egg so it was kind of flat) and a butter lettuce salad with mustard viniagrette. Ahhh, we drank a wonderful rose from Lazy Creek, one of my all time favorite wineries in the Anderson Valley. Every time we go for a tasting there, the friendly winemaker is out watering his wonderful veggie garden and is happy to chat and give us a tasting. They have a hog in the front yard and a cow and I think he just may be one of the luckiest people on earth!
