Becoming Italian

We've eaten Italian two nights in a row - pizza with sausage, arugula, shallots and garlic one night and last night, we went to Lupa in Noe Valley (Castro/24th St) with Danton and Susan. Italian is definitely my cuisine of choice these days since I've been so starving all the time lately - I chowed down my raddicchio, goat cheese and balsamic appetizer, Kevin's fennel and celery root soup, practically an entire burnt baguette and my entree of duck ravioli with pancetta, walnuts and cream sauce. I was especially excited when we visited the Belgano ice cream store for dessert and I got a scoop of Ciao Bella Valhrona chocolate and one of Tahitian vanilla bean ice cream - DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!
