Yesterday Kevin spent most of the day in the kitchen making Bruce Aidell's fantastic recipe for Bolognese sauce (from the Bruce Aidell's Book of Pork cookbook) - it cooks and takes forever (partly because Kevin insisted on grinding all his own meat in our KitchenAide), but it's definitely worth it. It makes enough dinner for 4 nights. The funny thing is that we didn't even eat it last night - we're saving it for tonight and then froze the other 3 portions. Instead of the bolognese, we had an earthy Wild Mushroom Soup with Goat Cheese Crostini, a roasted chicken with a delicious pan sauce and an arugula salad with mustard vinaigrette! Tasty!
