There are 3 Osha Thai restaurants in SF - and each one is distinctly different. A few weeks ago, we went to the one on Valencia, which is quite trendy and bustling. Last night, we went to the Osha Thai Noodle Cafe on Leavenworth/Geary in downtown (a short cab ride away from our final destination, the SF Symphony Hall) -- we loved it. It's cheap, fast service, big booths, it's open until 1am mid-week and until 3am on weekends (always good to know because late-night restaurants are hard to come by in SF) and the food was great. We both had noodle soups with all the Thai fixings, fried tofu and wontons. I think the most entertaining part of our dinner was the PAINFUL blind date in the booth next to us - a couple of 30-somethings who had met on Craigslist. The awkward conversation, the obnoxious guy, the poor girl who was forcing herself to be nice...I just LOVE being an old married couple!!!!
