Chowder with Trout

After a viewing of SF Ballet's Nutcracker, we headed home (like nesting, domestic grannies) and had bowls of very tasty Smoked Trout Chowder. I made a huge batch and froze the rest. This month, we've been trying to be really really good about cooking vs. eating out, since our budget always bursts at the seams in December due to the holidays! But, if I were to choose a restaurant to go to after the Nutcracker, it would've been Range on Valencia St, which I hear is fabulous!!!!
