Becoming a pepperbelly...

At around 4:30pm, I alerted Kevin of my dinner craving -- last night, it was pepperbellies, a delightful combo of fritos, chili, cheese, onions, salsa and sour cream (but actually, last night I just put fritos, chili and cheese in mine). Pepperbellies are served every year at one of the booths at the Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair (my hometown) - you can't go to that fair without getting at least 1. They are especially tasty after spending hours drinking in the beer garden. Unfortunately, my days of doing that are long over!

Pepperbellies are also great for the following occassions - 1) lunch or dinner on a ski trip 2) when you're carving your pumpkins for Halloween 3) when you want to serve a bunch of people a very casual, easy lunch and you don't want to do any prep work 4) when you feel like eating like a pregnant woman
