I pulled out a bag of Trader Joes pizza dough from the freezer at 7pm, hoping that it would defrost quickly so we could have pizza for dinner...I'm pleased to report that even the most frozen, rock-solid pizza dough can be magically defrosted in one hour! I placed the bag within another bag and dunked it in hot water for about 15 minutes while the oven was heating. Then, once the oven was hot, I removed it from its bag and placed the still-damn-frozen dough on the pizza paddle and set it on top of the back of the oven. After an hour, it was pretty thawed. I would only recommend this method if you are very very desperate for something for dinner like we were last night. The dough was not the most agreeable while rolling out...! It still tasted delicious though with its mozarella, chopped garlic, heirloom tomato, goat cheese and basil toppings!
