We had no Trader Joes pizza dough in our freezer and I was in no mood to go to the grocery store, so I took it upon myself to make my own pizza dough with my kitchen aide. I followed the simple recipe from The Joy of Cooking and amazingly, the dough rose and turned out great. It was so elastic and fresh that Kevin kept making holes in it when he was rolling it out. It really required his full concentration! We topped the pizza with some decadent goodies - mozarella, cambozola, balsamic caramelized onions, and bits of sausage. It was over-the-top delicious. We've kind of been struggling with really crisping the pizza crust lately (don't ask about the time we cooked the pizza for like 1/2 hour because the crust was having issues!) but this crust seemed pretty good. There is definitely room for improvement though! Next pizza dough I make, I'm going to try Wolfgang's recipe!
